Description
In this card and dice game, you recruit adventurers to go off on quests and battle magical creatures including trolls, wolves, and dragons. Your child will build their strategic thinking skills and get lots of math practice, but they won’t even realize it because they’ll be having so much fun. An excellent game for the whole family!
For an extra dose of fun, when one of us captures a creature, we celebrate with a “Huzzah!” or “Take that!” or “A plague upon thee!”
Note: The manufacturer says this is for ages 8 and up, but according to several other families (including mine!) most 7-year-olds who can read are ready for this game.

Dare to enter Dragonwood! Deep in the heart of this mythical forest lurk angry ogres, giggling goblins, and even the famed and fearsome fire-breathers themselves. Collect sets of adventurer cards to earn dice, which you will use to roll against your foes. Stomp on some fire ants, shriek at a grumpy troll, or strike the menacing orange dragon with a magical silver sword. Choose your strategy carefully because the landscape of Dragonwood is ever-changing. Only the bravest will overcome the odds to emerge victorious!
WARNING: Choking Hazard – Contains small parts not suitable for children under 3 years.
Karlynn Cory –
I highly recommend Dragonwood. Our youngest has been playing since he was 5. And sometimes we adults play it without the kids!
Rachel Buchanan –
It throws you in a magical adventure defeating all types of monsters until you face the dragons. It is a fun game for all ages. It takes about 30-40 minutes to play and game play is quick to pick up.

I have 3 boys ages 9, 12 & 16. Dragonwood is always a hit with all 3 of them. The 16 yr old helps the youngest figure his mathematical odds of rolling a high enough number with a certain number of cards. They all love the names of the creatures. Great family game that doesn’t take too long (30 min).
